Ross Meyer from Minneapolis, Minnesota, spent four painful years battling chronic low back pain. Despite multiple MRIs, pain clinic procedures, and countless appointments, no one could find the actual cause of his suffering—until he discovered something most doctors overlook: superior cluneal nerve entrapment.

After finding Dr. Demetrio Aguila, a pain-focused peripheral nerve surgeon, Ross was diagnosed with this condition. Dr. Aguila performed a specialized surgery to disconnect the irritated superior cluneal nerves, and Ross felt relief almost immediately. 💬 “Once you get to the point where nothing’s working, this is the last resort—and I’m so glad I found Dr. Aguila.” If you or someone you know has unexplained low back pain and has exhausted every option, this story might be the breakthrough you've been searching for. 📍 Condition: Superior Cluneal Nerve Entrapment 🔬 Procedure: Peripheral Nerve Surgery 👨‍⚕️ Surgeon: Dr. Demetrio Aguila

➡️ Watch now to learn how this rare diagnosis changed Ross’s life—and how it might change yours too.

Finding the Real Cause of My Back Pain — Ross’s Story My name is Ross Meyer, and I'm from Minneapolis, Minnesota. About four years ago, I started experiencing back pain that slowly became a constant presence in my life. I went through all the standard medical steps—MRIs, countless tests, consultations—but nothing ever seemed to provide answers or real relief. Eventually, I was referred to a pain clinic where I underwent several procedures.

Despite all these efforts, the pain persisted. It’s hard to explain how much chronic pain wears you down. It makes everything in life more difficult, more stressful, and more exhausting. You start to wonder if it will ever come to an end. I had never heard of the superior cluneal nerves until I began researching them. I stumbled across videos online and started reading more about nerve entrapment syndromes.

That’s when I found Dr. Demetrio Aguila. As I watched his patient stories and explanations, I began to suspect that I might have one of these rare conditions. Dr. Aguila diagnosed me with superior cluneal nerve entrapment, a condition that often goes undiagnosed. These are small sensory nerves that exit just above the iliac crest—the top of the pelvis. When irritated or compressed, they can cause severe and persistent low back pain. Many patients with this issue go through the same process I did: they see chiropractors, physical therapists, undergo imaging, and sometimes even unnecessary spine surgeries—all without finding relief.

Dr. Aguila performed a procedure to disconnect these nerves from the source of pain. During surgery, he removed a section of each superior cluneal nerve. The day after the procedure, I already felt a noticeable difference.

The experience with Dr. Aguila’s team was entirely different from anything I’d had before. At other clinics, everything feels rushed—appointments are brief, and you never feel truly heard. But here, they treat you like family. They take time to answer your questions and listen to your story. That kind of compassion makes a huge difference.

Once you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked, you begin to feel hopeless. But if you’re in that place—if you're living with chronic pain and out of options—I encourage you to look into what Dr. Aguila does. I’m incredibly grateful I did. This surgery gave me a second chance at living pain-free, and I hope my story helps someone else find the same relief.
