Ultrasound-Guided Carpal Tunnel Release: Travis’s Story

My name is Travis Long from Belleville, Kansas. I’d been dealing with a lot of wrist pain—like electric shocks shooting up my hands and wrists. I was losing strength, waking up at night, and my hands kept falling asleep. After months of this, I started looking for real answers and learned about ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release as a minimally invasive option.

I work in construction, so anything heavy immediately exposed the weakness. Sometimes it felt dangerous—holding something only for my wrist to give out when the pain shot up my arm. Even driving was tough; my hands would constantly fall asleep on the wheel, and I’d have to switch hands just to keep going. It affected everyday life in a hundred little ways.

A conversation with my brother-in-law—who’d had carpal tunnel surgery—got me searching. I Googled “carpal tunnel release” and found Total Pain Solutions among a few others. I read through their tutorials and patient experiences and felt confident. People I know who had the older surgery were out four to six weeks. The ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release sounded quicker and easier, and after going through the first step, I believed the recovery would be the same—fast and manageable—without putting life on hold.

The process was exactly as the website described. They performed the diagnostics, and it was pretty clear I had carpal tunnel. The team performed the ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release the same day. It was super simple. They answered all my questions, eased my concerns, and got me on my way.

I’m excited to get back to the things I love. My son and I have wanted to start metal forging, but I worried about the vibration and how it would set my hands back for weeks. Now, after the ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release, I’m ready to jump in with him. I also do a lot of woodworking and chainsaw work, and being able to do that without two weeks of numb hands will be a huge relief.

Honestly, I couldn’t believe how easy it was. There wasn’t a long wait between diagnosis and treatment—everything happened the same day. Choosing ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release at Total Pain Solutions made the entire experience straightforward and let me get back to work and family life quickly.
